Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is situated in the Eastern Georgia Tbilisi has been the capital of Georgia since the 5th century AD. Its foundations have been laid by VakhtangGorgasali, a king of Kartli. A legend relates the foundation of Tbilisi with sulphur springs existing on its territory.
Narikala (by the cable car): the old citadel of the town, main fortress or Kala, has been called Narikala since the end of the 18th century.
Sioni Cathedral: One of the oldest churches in Tbilisi, the foundations of which were laid by VakhtangGorgasali. The church has been repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt, adopting its final appearance in 1657, although its restoration took place afterwards on several occasions. It is named after Virgin Mary, and is home to one of the greatest relics of Georgia – the cross of St. Nino, baptizer of Georgians.

Mtskheta has been Georgia’s spiritual heart since Christianity was established here in about 327 and hold a near-mystical signifinance in Georgian culture.

Kakheti
The eastern region of Kakheti is Georgia’s premium wine-produsing area. Kakheti is also rich in history. here you will find the incredible monastery complex of David Gareja.
Bodbe
St. George monastic and Episcopal complex, situated in Bodbe (Kakheti) is the national Georgian relic. In St. George cathedral are kept the remains of Nino of Kappadokia, Equal-to-the-Apostles, the great Baptist of Georgia, the harbinger of Christianity. The cult complex in Bodbe was repeatedly repaired and restored. In the 16th – 17th centuries Bodbe was the important educational centre. In 1837 the monastery was abolished. And in 1889 the convent of St. Nino Equal-to-the-Apostles was opened and is active until now.
Sighnaghi
Singhnaghi is the prettiest in town Kakheti, sitting on a hilltop 60km southeast of Telavi and full 18th and 19th century architechture with an Italianate feet. Sighnaghi has wonderful views over the Alazani Valley to the caucasus beyond.

House museum of Chavchavadze
The museum is located in the palace of the well-known Georgian poet, where one can see objects representing both the poet’s life and creative work, and his époque: epistolary and iconography archive, XIX c. editions on various subjects in French, German, English, Polish, Armenian languages, XVIII c. manuscripts, works of photographer Ermakov, samples of painting and lithography, XVII-XIX c.c. Georgian, Russian, French furniture, other household objects, crockery (Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Georgian, Russian), musical instruments; Alexsander Chavchavadze in1830 laid out a decorative park which at the moment occupies 18 hectare land. There are different plants – medical, technical, etc. as well as exotic ones from China, Japan, Mediterranean, America, etc. In 1835 there was built one of the first in Georgia wine cellar, where are kept unique collection of wine from many countries (16 500 bottles).
